Senior AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and optimising large language models (LLMs) that form the foundation of our AI capabilities. You will collaborate with world-class researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of what is possible with generative AI, ensuring our solutions remain at the cutting edge.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of foundational LLM architectures and pipelines
• Conduct research and experimentation to advance the state-of-the-art in large language models
• Optimise model performance, scalability, and efficiency for production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLMs into products and services
• Analyse and interpret complex data to inform model improvements and new features
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Extensive experience developing and deploying large-scale language models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, Llama)
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Solid understanding of machine learning theory, natural language processing, and model evaluation techniques
• Proven track record of delivering high-impact AI solutions in a production setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
