BIOFRACTAL is hiring an Animal Science Lead to help drive innovation at the intersection of animal science, omics, and AI.

We are especially interested in candidates with strong expertise in monogastric animals (poultry and swine), with a focus on intestinal health, applied physiology, and animal nutrition and health as a continuum.

We are looking for someone who understands that nutrition and health are deeply interconnected: nutritional strategies shape gut function, physiological response, resilience, and performance, while health status directly influences nutrient utilization and biological outcomes.

In this role, you will:

• Lead applied R&D projects in poultry and swine

• Design and interpret studies combining nutrition, physiology, transcriptomics, and phenotypic data

• Translate complex biology into practical, science-based insights for industry clients

• Contribute to AI-powered workflows, analysis pipelines, gene panels, and predictive tools

• Represent BIOFRACTAL in scientific and industry settings

What we are looking for:

• PhD in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Nutrition, Physiology, or related field

• Strong applied research background in animal nutrition and health

• Clear expertise in poultry and/or swine research

• Strong fit for candidates with experience in intestinal health, gut physiology, nutritional physiology, mucosal biology, or host-response biology

• Preference for candidates with 2+ years of industry and/or postdoctoral experience in animal nutrition and health research in the target species

• Experience with data science, transcriptomics, omics integration, bioinformatics, or AI is a strong plus
