About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled
Android AOSP/BSP Engineer
with hands-on experience in customizing, porting, and optimizing Android OS for embedded hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android builds across multiple chipsets including
Rockchip, Amlogic, and MediaTek (Microtek)
, and will play a key role in developing next-generation devices in the Tablet, Kiosk, and IFP domains.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain
Android AOSP builds
for various hardware platforms.
Perform
Board Support Package (BSP)
porting for chipsets such as Rockchip, Amlogic, and MediaTek.
Integrate and optimize hardware components including display, touch, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera, sensors, audio, and peripherals.
Work with kernel source, bootloaders (U-Boot), device trees, and HAL layers.
Required Skills & Experience
Good to Have
Experience in Tablet, Kiosk, Smart TV, or IFP product development.
Knowledge of codec optimization, display tuning, and performance improvements.
Experience with secure boot, DRM, and OTA frameworks.
Familiarity with Yocto or Linux build systems.
Education
:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems.
Troubleshoot system-level issues, performance bottlenecks, and stability problems.
Implement OTA updates, system upgrades, and security patches.
Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams to deliver stable and production-ready firmware.
Prepare technical documentation, release notes, and bring-up reports.
Strong experience in
Android AOSP
and
BSP development
.
Proven expertise in porting Android builds on
Rockchip
,
Amlogic
, and
MediaTek
chipsets.
Hands-on experience with
Android framework
,
HAL
,
Kernel
, and
Device Tree
.
Good understanding of
Linux kernel
, drivers, and embedded systems.
Experience with Git, build-tools, debugging tools (ADB, GDB, Logcat).
Ability to work on bring-up of new boards and custom hardware.
