๐ฌ Analytical Chemistry Testing Project Coordinator โ CEE Region ๐ Poland | Hungary | Central & Eastern Europe | Full-time
About Universal Lab
Universal Lab is an Swiss-based international scientific testing and lab testing platform built on a simple but ambitious idea: every researcher and engineer in the world should have access to world-class analytical testing โ fast, reliable, and affordable.
We combine deep in-house scientific expertise with a curated network of accredited partner laboratories to deliver precision materials characterisation, chemical analysis, and industrial testing to customers across Europe, Asia, and beyond. Our standards are Swiss. Our reach is global.
Central and Eastern Europe is one of our key growth regions โ home to strong scientific talent, world-class research institutions, and a rapidly expanding industrial base. We are building our local team here not as a cost centre, but as a scientific hub that serves the region and contributes directly to Universal Lab's global capabilities.
๐ฏ Why This Role Exists
Our customers โ from R&D scientists at global manufacturers to startups pushing the frontier of new materials โ need more than a testing quote. They need a trusted scientific partner who understands their project, knows what questions to ask, and ensures they get results they can actually act on.
The Analytical Chemistry Testing Project Coordinator is that partner. You will carry the full weight of customer success for your projects โ from the first technical conversation through to final report delivery โ backed by Universal Lab's scientific team, platform, and global laboratory network.
This is not a logistics or admin role. It is a technically grounded, relationship-driven, impact-focused position for someone who wants to apply their chemistry background in a commercial and international context.
๐ What You Will Do
โธ Build trusted working relationships with customers by deeply understanding their analytical needs and providing expert, proactive guidance on methodology and approach
โธ Manage the full lifecycle of testing projects โ coordinating timelines, sample handling, laboratory execution, and results delivery with precision and accountability
โธ Work closely with Universal Lab's internal scientists and laboratory partners to translate customer requirements into technically sound testing plans
โธ Review and quality-check reports before delivery; ensure findings are accurate, clearly communicated, and genuinely useful to the customer
โธ Support customers in interpreting results, troubleshooting, and planning next steps โ acting as a long-term technical resource, not a one-time transaction
โธ Contribute to the growth of Universal Lab's presence and reputation across the CEE region
โ What We Are Looking For
Scientific Foundation
โธ Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline
โธ Working knowledge of core analytical techniques: chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman, ICP-OES/MS, XRF, UV-Vis), microscopy (SEM, TEM, AFM), and thermal analysis (TGA, DSC)
โธ Appreciation for data quality, measurement uncertainty, and laboratory standards (ISO 17025 familiarity is a plus)
โธ Comfort with digital tools and a genuine interest in how AI is shaping scientific workflows
Experience
โธ Hands-on laboratory background โ academic, industrial, or third-party testing environment
โธ Experience in a scientific services, testing, CRO, or technical coordination role is a meaningful advantage โธ Track record of communicating science clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences
The Person
โธ ๐ค Relationship-first: you build trust naturally and take genuine pride in your customers' success
โธ ๐ Scientifically curious: you want to understand problems deeply, not just process requests
โธ โก Ownership mindset: you follow through, you escalate when needed, and you never let a project fall through the cracks
โธ ๐ High standards: you find sloppy work uncomfortable and push yourself and others toward excellence
โธ ๐ Internationally minded: you are energised by working across cultures, languages, and time zones
โธ Strong English communication skills
๐ผ What Universal Lab Offers
โธ A substantive scientific role โ not support, not admin, but real ownership of customer outcomes
โธ Direct exposure to a diverse and challenging range of analytical projects spanning materials, chemicals, energy, pharma, and more
โธ The backing of an experienced international team of PhD-level scientists and engineers
โธ Competitive compensation structured around your experience and the scope of your impact
โธ A front-row seat to how a science-driven platform scales globally โ and the opportunity to grow with it โธ A culture where curiosity is rewarded, excellence is expected, and every team member's contribution matters
๐ฉ Ready to Make an Impact?
If you are a scientist who thrives on human connection and wants to bring real analytical expertise to bear for customers who need it, we want to talk.
