What You’ll Do
The main function of this role will be to support actuarial functions, with particular focus on cost of care analytics, forecasting, and value-based contracts. The Actuarial Analyst will execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods. This position will report to our Senior Director, Actuarial.
The Day to Day
Creates and maintains detailed forecasting models, projecting multi-year financial performance at the client level
Analyzes publicly available data to understand industry revenue, medical expense and risk score trends
Supports ongoing client relationships through impact analyses, validation of financial reports, and presentations to clients
Supports new business underwriting through ingestion and interpretation of client data and financial forecasting
Forecasts and interprets financial results, including variances from forecast to help identify product and segment behavior to assist in risk management of the business units.
Collaborates with team members from strategy, clinical, and new market functions to identify data-driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
Presents models during workgroup calls and explains analyses to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or related field.
1+ years experience in actuarial services or related field.
Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of two actuarial exams.
Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of analyzing medical claim, lab data, electronic medical record (EMR) data and clinical data.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Annual Salary Range: $66,000 - $77,000
