Blackswan Space is making satellites autonomous – a cornerstone for enabling the future space economy as space traffic rapidly increases. With the help of the European Space Agency, our team is developing a novel product for spacecraft relative navigation while leveraging computer vision and neural networks – the RPO Kit.

Job Description
As an instrumental part of our RPO-Kit engineering team you will:
· Own and execute all the AIT activities, with a specific focus on environmental testing (TVAC, mechanical, radiation, EMC).
· Define, write, and maintain AIV (Assembly, Integration, & Verification) plans, test procedures, and test reports.
· Work closely with the Systems Engineer to ensure requirement-to-test traceability and verification logic is correctly implemented.
· Support the Project Manager, coordinating activities performed in external test facilities (e.g. ESA labs, commercial facilities, integrators), including test readiness, logistics, and execution.
· Set up, maintain and troubleshoot functional and environmental test benches for representative and flight-like hardware.
Job Requirements
· At least 2+ years of AIT experience in the space industry, with direct involvement in environmental testing (TVAC, mechanical, radiation).
· Proficiency in clean room protocols, experience with EGSE/MGSE.
· Real-time problem solving with ability to work well under tight schedules.
· Can do attitude with internal motivation to drive assembly and testing to successful launch integration.
· Apply ECSS-compliant processes for test planning, configuration control, NCR, handling and documentation.
· Hands-on experience with the debugging of hardware, including electrical and mechanical interfaces.
· Ability to write clear, structured test documentation, including procedures, logs, and reports.
· Existing security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
Assets
· Experience in Mechanical Engineering, including reading mechanical drawings, working with CAD software, and interpreting analyses.
· Experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfM/DfA), and working with manufacturing teams.
· Experience of optical and camera-related testing, including: optical performance validation as well as alignment, calibration, and stability testing.
· Experience with Matlab/Simulink, LabView or other similar tools used in testing and data collection.
· Experience working with motion capture systems and robotics.

Employment Type: Full time on-site
Salary range: net EUR 2,200 – 2,800/month depending on experience
