About The Role As an AI Engineering Intern at Biorce , you’ll work alongside senior engineers to build and experiment with next-generation AI systems that go beyond basic chatbots. This role is designed for someone eager to learn how agentic AI, RAG pipelines, and LLM evaluation work in real-world products.

You’ll contribute to production-facing features while gaining hands-on experience with modern generative AI tooling and best practices.

What You’ll Work On Agentic Workflows (with Guidance)

• Assist in building multi-step AI workflows using LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Help implement state handling, conditional logic, and simple loops in agent-based systems.

Prompt Engineering & Experimentation

• Write, test, and iterate on prompts (few-shot, structured prompts, basic Chain-of-Thought).
• Learn how prompts are versioned, evaluated, and improved using Vertex AI tools.

RAG Pipeline Support

• Help build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) components.
• Assist with document ingestion, embeddings, and querying vector databases.

LLM Evaluation & Testing

• Support the setup of automated evaluation workflows (e.g., relevancy, groundedness).
• Analyze outputs and help identify hallucinations or failure cases.

Technologies You’ll Be Exposed To

• Agent Frameworks: LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI (introductory level)
• GCP & Vertex AI: Vertex AI Studio, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage
• Generative AI Patterns: Basic RAG, hybrid search concepts, query expansion
• Engineering Practices: Prompt versioning, simple testing, logging, and debugging AI systems

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and basic backend development is desirable.
• Generative AI Curiosity:
• You’ve experimented with LLMs (personal projects, coursework, hackathons, or internships).
• You’re excited about treating LLMs as part of a system, not just a text generator.
• Foundational Skills:
• Basic understanding of APIs, data structures, and software development workflows.
• Interest in learning about state, memory, and reasoning in AI applications.
