Job Summary
Skylark Drones is looking for a highly capable AI Engineer to build and scale intelligent bots and agent-driven systems for Spectra, our enterprise-grade drone data and worksite intelligence platform. Spectra transforms large volumes of drone and geospatial data into actionable insights for large enterprise customers across mining, infrastructure, energy, and utilities.
This role is ideal for engineers who have not only built AI agents and LLM-powered systems, but have also pushed them into production at scale. You will work on real-world, high-impact problems involving large datasets, autonomous agents, and decision-support workflows that run continuously in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI bots and multi-agent systems that power automation and intelligence across the Spectra platform
- Use frameworks such as LangChain or similar agent orchestration frameworks to build complex, multi-step reasoning and workflow systems
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience building AI bots, LLM-powered agents, or autonomous systems
- Hands-on experience using LangChain or similar frameworks to orchestrate tools, models, and workflows
- Proven experience deploying AI systems to production, not just prototypes or demos
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience integrating AI into backend systems
- Experience working with large datasets and real-world, noisy inputs
- Ability to think systemically about reliability, latency, cost, and scalability
Preferred Attributes
- Experience operating LLM-based systems in production environments
- Exposure to monitoring, evaluation, and observability of AI agents
- Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and containerized environments
- Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and owning solutions end to end
- Strong bias for action and iterative delivery
