Job Description:
Censys Technologies is seeking an experienced and proactive Aerospace Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the development, production, and deployment of cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This role involves managing complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, budget constraints, and timeline requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace project management, particularly within the drone industry, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to stay on track.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate regular communication and reporting to keep all parties informed of project status and developments.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain quality and compliance throughout the project.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement lessons learned in future project planning and execution.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion in the aerospace, defense, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., PMBOK), and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project).
• Expert proficiency in SCRUM and Agile methodologies. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience managing complex hardware and software development projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrable experience in performing Earned Value Management (EVM) and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) projects and familiarity with military standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in risk management and quality assurance processes.
• Experience managing hardware and software projects highly preferred.
