We have an opening on our (insert Region Name) Donor Recruitment team in (specify counties or cities) for an outside sales representative, Sickle Cell Account Manager, who is responsible for developing partnerships with African American current and potential blood drive coordinators and blood donor groups to grow diverse blood collection targets for area blood drives. Scope : Individual contributor that works under close supervision. Uses technical knowledge to solve routine types of problems.

Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree required.

Experience : Minimum one-year related experience required or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience : N/A

Skills and Abilities : Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Ability to work on a team.

Travel : May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.

• Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
