Privacy and security concerns require confidential data to be protected, typically locked in silos – they unintentionally block valuable, even life-saving insights. McKinsey estimates that open data could unlock up to $5 trillion in economic value per annum. We created and patented a new Privacy-Enhancing Technology to process encrypted data, and enable confidential data sharing. The data is shared in encrypted format to allow an untrusted party to extract insights without having to decrypt first. Use cases include training machine learning models on encrypted data, which could feed new AI models with bigger datasets, but not compromise the confidential data in them.
