UAS-DTU is an interdisciplinary research-oriented undergraduate team from Delhi Technological University, focused on developing innovative solutions in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the aerospace and defense sectors. Founded in 2009, the team aims to reduce India's dependency on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products by creating indigenous UAV solutions for applications in Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) as well as Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR). UAS-DTU has participated in various national and international competitions, bridging the gap between industry and academia, and is expanding its capabilities in automation, machine learning, and control systems for unmanned vehicles. The team is also working towards establishing a Centre of Excellence for Research in Unmanned Vehicles (CERUV) to further enhance innovation in this field.
