SPEARHEAD
SPEARHEAD provides digital health tools to reduce antimicrobial resistance with a simple, broad value proposition. It builds a risk-prediction model and real-time surveillance using AI, machine learning, federated learning, rapid diagnostics, and data analytics to support doctors in evidence-based decision-making. The project engages patients and healthcare budgets by promoting responsible antibiotic use and stewardship through digital engagement tools. SPEARHEAD is a Swiss-based consortium of 12 public and private institutions focused on AMR, with a business model oriented toward delivering digital health solutions to doctors, patients, and budget holders. Supported by Innosuisse, the initiative aims to scale its 360-degree program for infection management and prevention across healthcare systems.
