Simmer, formerly Foodie, is a food review app that aims to bring high quality reviews for every dish on the menu. It uses deep learning and natural language processing to generate ratings for individual dishes. Simmer collects publicly available reviews (i.e. social media, blog posts) and runs the content through their sentiment analyzer to algorithmically produce ratings. Simmer was founded in 2018.
