SARsatX
SARsat Arabia (SARsatX) is a startup aiming to serve the Gulf and Arab regions by providing design and development services for small Earth-observing satellites using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology. They offer this data to various sectors to support decision-making, covering applications in energy, mining, security and defense, insurance, finance, civil and government, agriculture, maritime, and environmental sectors. The company utilizes advanced technologies including SAR imaging, satellite constellations, and machine learning. SARsatX is incubated and funded by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and supported by the Saudi Space Agency and the UAE Space Agency. They are developing a constellation of 18 satellites expected to be fully operational by 2027, capable of providing data within four hours. A key technology is their patented high-quality signal processing.
