RIoT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2014 that has evolved from a Meetup group into a prominent IoT community hub and industry consortium with over 90 corporate partners. It supports economic development by accelerating startups and fostering innovation in IoT, AI, and data technologies through its RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP), which has supported over 80 startups generating $100 million in revenue and creating more than 250 jobs. RIoT also drives innovation for corporations, governments, and Smart City initiatives, operating hardware, wireless, and software prototyping labs and testbeds for smart cities, drones, agriculture, and wireless communications. It hosts free public events and educational sessions to convene organizations around disruptive technology and the data economy, aiming to scale and capture emerging markets locally and globally.
