Qoture is an app that extracts your measurements from photographs so online shoppers can purchase the proper clothing size. Shopping online for clothes is challenging because different brands have different sizes. Ambiguous sizing is a leading cause for shopping cart abandonment and shoppers who risk it have 1 in 5 chance of returning it. From 2 orthogonal photos, we can suggest your best fit. Other body scanners exist, but require specialized hardware. The Qoture app utilizes a standard camera – a device available on every cell phone. Our team includes computer graphics PhDs from the University of Calgary and we are currently in raising a round of capital through Kickstarter to fund research & development. The introduction of the Qoture App could save shoppers the hassle of returns (and guys from the dog house!)
