ORGANIC aims to make manufacturing more sustainable by combining bio-design, bio-based materials, and intelligent processes in 3D printing. It uses AI-driven cognitive and evolutionary control systems within Fused Granulate Fabrication and leverages biocomposites to enable right-first-time production. The project focuses on creating sustainable, recyclable products through additive manufacturing, with emphasis on wind energy and circular manufacturing. Key technologies include Additive Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Biocomposites, and Fused Granulate Fabrication, developed through a EU-funded collaboration of 13 organizations across eight countries. Organizing around manufacturing partners in renewable energy, the project seeks to reduce CO2 emissions and scale sustainable manufacturing practices.
