
LIGATE is a deep-tech project developing and validating a portable and tunable drug discovery solution for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, up to exascale level. The project aims to significantly reduce the execution time of virtual screening campaigns and improve drug development effectiveness by integrating leading European open-source components with proprietary intellectual property. This integrated solution will boost platforms like Exscalate, enabling full in silico drug discovery campaigns in less than a day to rapidly respond to public health crises. LIGATE focuses on code portability to ensure deployment on various architectures, addressing the specialization and heterogeneity of future exascale systems. The project also plans to support the discovery of novel treatments against viral infections and multidrug-resistant bacteria.
