The Industrial Decarbonization AI Coalition (IDAIC) aims to accelerate industrial decarbonization by facilitating and scaling the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Their mission is to unlock the potential of AI in supporting industrial decarbonization through advanced R&D, industry collaboration, and solutions development. Initially focusing on education and awareness, IDAIC plans to facilitate novel R&D and solutions in AI for industrial processing and materials discovery. They address barriers such as the availability of curated datasets and the need for cross-disciplinary R&D, bringing together expertise in AI, materials, chemistry, physics, and industrial processes. IDAIC is open to UK-operating industrial companies, manufacturers, AI/ML companies, research centers, and non-profits, with a MENA chapter launching in early 2025.
