Edhitha
Edhitha is a multidisciplinary student team from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India, developing Unmanned Autonomous Systems (UAS) for search and rescue missions and civilian applications such as agriculture and law enforcement. The team participates in international competitions like the Students Unmanned Autonomous Systems (SUAS) competition in the US and the Singapore Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge (SAUVC). Their UAS technology includes autonomous flight, object detection, obstacle avoidance, surveillance, mapping, air delivery, and real-time data transmission, integrating fields like computer vision, machine learning, and avionics. Edhitha has achieved notable competition rankings and awards, including 1st place at SUAS 2015 and recent top placements in 2024, demonstrating strong technical design and flight readiness. The team is organized into specialized subteams focusing on software, structures and propulsion, avionics, and business development, supporting both technical innovation and external engagement.
