Dosei is an open-source, local-first container orchestration platform designed for developers, aiming to be a successor to Kubernetes. It simplifies deploying web applications by focusing on security, portability, and extensibility. Dosei emphasizes an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) core, a language-agnostic approach with SDKs (currently JavaScript), a GitOps-first workflow, and a read-only dashboard to ensure predictable and auditable infrastructure management. The platform allows users to run applications offline with full compatibility and deploy seamlessly to remote clusters. Currently, it officially supports macOS for workstations and Debian-based Linux distributions for remote clusters.
