deCYPher is a collaborative research project funded by the Horizon Europe program, uniting 10 international partners from academia, industry, and non-profits across 6 countries. The project integrates artificial intelligence, machine learning, and synthetic biology to develop bio-based production methods for plant secondary metabolites such as flavonoids and terpenoids, which are important for pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. This approach aims to provide a sustainable, economical, and efficient alternative to traditional extraction methods, ensuring a regular supply of these compounds. The interdisciplinary project fosters citizen-based co-creative innovation and impacts science, economy, and society.
