D-STANDART is a European project focused on advancing the durability modeling of composite structures through standardized testing and artificial intelligence. The project aims to develop rapid methods for characterizing fatigue damage in composites and improving the sustainability of composite supply chains. By using minimal and accelerated testing of generic specimens, and then applying AI and machine learning, D-STANDART models the durability of large-scale composite structures under realistic conditions. This initiative targets reduced time-to-market, material waste, and increased lifespan for composite products, particularly in the aerospace and wind energy industries. The consortium comprises 9 partners from 5 European countries, leveraging expertise in areas such as manufacturing, material modeling, fatigue testing, and AI/ML.
