Castlab Proeftuin
CastLab Proeftuin is a collaborative innovation hub focused on sustainable manufacturing for the Dutch infrastructure sector. It brings together SMEs, large companies, knowledge institutions, and end users to develop and test new technologies and business models for smart maintenance and cost-efficient production of critical metal parts. Key technologies include digital twins, digital warehousing, predictive maintenance, big data analysis, and AI-based decision systems. The platform addresses the challenge of aging infrastructure by enabling rapid, on-demand manufacturing of unique replacement parts, reducing inventory costs and lead times. CastLab Proeftuin aims to become a one-stop-shop for metal industry spare parts and prototyping, fostering knowledge sharing and partnership development to drive cost savings and sustainability in manufacturing.
