BioNet
BioNet is a collaborative initiative fostering innovation and connections within Alberta's Bioinformatics and Computational Biology community. It acts as an information hub, curating a database of researchers and resources and facilitating collaboration by connecting potential partners. Core technologies and skills include R and machine learning in bioinformatics. The initiative is funded and coordinated with Genome Canada, Genome Alberta, and major Albertan universities, positioning BioNet as a regional capacity-building network. Its goal is to strengthen the local genomics ecosystem by enabling partnerships and reducing reliance on out-of-province omics services.
