BiaSPARK is an initiative of the National Security College at the Australian National University, focused on fostering a strategic partnership between India and Australia in the biotechnology sector. Their mission is to ensure both nations capitalize on the forthcoming biotechnology revolution, which includes advancements in genetic and cell engineering, AI in biology, and biomanufacturing automation. BiaSPARK aims to drive innovation, research, and regulation by raising awareness, building collaborative networks, and producing policy analysis to assist governments. The project is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Australia-India Strategic and Technology Policy Initiative (SATPI).
