The Autonomous Vehicles Lab (AV Lab) at Khalifa University focuses on advancing autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, prioritizing safety, seamless integration into smart urban environments, and ensuring AI systems align with passenger needs. Their research areas include enhancing AV decision-making safety, enabling multi-agent vehicles to share perception and decision-making data via V2X standards, and designing decision-making frameworks with strong safety assurances. The lab engages in various research projects and publishes findings in IROS, ICRA, and IEEE publications.
