Sumsub
is a leading full-cycle verification platform that enables scalable compliance. From identity and business verification to ongoing monitoring, our platform adapts to different risk appetites and market demands, ensuring global compliance. It allows customizing analytics and workflows with a no-code interface.
Over 4,000 clients β including Bitpanda, Wirex, Avis, Bybit, Vodafone, Duolingo, Kaizen Gaming, and TransferGo β trust Sumsub to accelerate growth, prevent fraud, and maintain compliance worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing:
Lead end-to-end research β own the full lifecycle of prioritized studies, from scoping and recruiting through synthesis and delivery, managing several projects at different stages in parallel
Be the person who turns research into decisions β distill findings into prioritized insights and product recommendations, ensuring stakeholders walk away with clarity on what to do next, not just what was observed
Apply the right methods at the right scale β design and execute mixed-method studies (mostly, generative & evaluative) calibrated to the research objective, balancing depth with speed
Navigate B2B research constraints β build creative strategies to access hard-to-reach enterprise users, supplementing primary research with internal expert interviews, sales/CS debriefs, competitive analysis, and secondary sources
Shape the research agenda with product and design β partner with PMs, designers, data and dev teams to surface the highest-priority unknowns, scope studies around specific decisions, enrich your data with inout from other teams and ensure research is connected to real product outcomes
Equip the team to do tactical research independently β create and support processes, templates, and lightweight toolkits that enable designers and PMs to run their own research
Mature the UX Research function β as an early-stage function, proactively refine processes, introduce better tooling, and educate stakeholders on research value and ways of working
Optimize research operations with AI β identify and implement AI-assisted approaches to recruiting, analysis, and synthesis to improve throughput without sacrificing rigor
Amplify customer understanding across the org β communicate and socialize research findings proactively, ensuring user needs stay visible and influential in roadmap and strategy conversations

4+ years of UX research experience in a tech organization, ideally within B2B SaaS, or another complex domain (FinTech, infrastructure, cybersecurity)
English from C1 level
Startup or scaleup experience β you've worked in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities, limited resources, and high expectations for independent delivery
Experience as an early researcher β you've helped establish how research works in a company or team, and you're energized by building structure where little exists
Mastery of mixed methods β you're fluent across generative and evaluative approaches (in-depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, desk research, expert interviews, card sorting) and know when to use which.
Strong synthesis and storytelling β you don't stop at observations; you distill findings into sharp insights, clear "so whats," and product recommendations that influence real decisions
Ability to navigate B2B research constraints β you're resourceful when direct user access is limited, and comfortable supplementing primary research with expert interviews, secondary sources, and behavioral data
Comfortable with ambiguity and parallelism β you can independently manage several projects at different stages, make smart scope trade-offs
Collaborative working in product teams β you have a track record of partnering closely with PMs, designers, and data teams, guiding them on how to act on research rather than just handing off a report
Research advocacy and education β you can educate non-researchers, and raising the bar for evidence-based decision-making
Preferred qualifications: Relevant academic background (undergraduate works!) in Social Sciences, HCI, Anthropology, Human Factors, or equivalent
Remote-first, trust-based culture. Work from the place that works best for you. No mandatory office days, no attendance trackers. In some locations, we provide offices or coworking spaces, but the choice is yours.
True flexibility. We do not fix you to a 9-to-5 schedule. You can adjust your working hours when needed, as long as your day stays productive and in sync with the team.
Extra time off. Your birthday is a holiday here. Add to that 10 personal days each year, seven sick days without paperwork, and extra time to enjoy Christmas and New Year. Time to rest is part of the deal.
Work that matters. Our mission is to build a digital world that is secure, accessible and inclusive for everyone. From fighting fraud to making online services easier and safer to use, your work will have a real impact on how people experience trust online.
Compensation. We offer fair and transparent pay, benchmarked to the market.
Truly global. We work across continents and time zones, with teammates and customers from all over the world. You will run campaigns that cross borders, cultures, and languages, and see your ideas land worldwide.
Growth built in. Clear goals, open feedback and personal development plans. We support your progress with learning opportunities and by covering role-specific events, from design conferences to marketing forums.
Team offsites. Sometimes just Slack is not enough. That is why we meet in person a few times a year. Trips are fully covered, so you can meet, collaborate, and recharge together.
Getting you set up. We make sure you have access to the tools and hardware you need to do your work well.
Friendly by design. Our logo is a dog for a reason. We keep things human, open and kind. We welcome individuality, quirks and different perspectives, because that is what makes our work smarter and more fun.
