About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced System Board Engineer specializing in Power Integrity (PI), Signal Integrity (SI), and PDN design.
This role focuses on delivering electrically robust, high-performance SoC-based systems by ensuring optimal power delivery, signal quality, and system-level integration aligned with semiconductor constraints.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and optimize Power Delivery Networks (PDN) considering transient response, target impedance, and decoupling strategies across multiple frequency domains.
• Perform advanced Power Integrity (PI) analysis including IR drop, voltage ripple, and dynamic current behavior under real workload conditions.
• Conduct Signal Integrity (SI) analysis for high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB) including eye diagram, jitter, crosstalk, and reflection validation.
• Execute pre-layout and post-layout simulations using industry tools and correlate results with lab measurements (oscilloscope, TDR, VNA).
• Lead schematic design and board bring-up with strong focus on power domains, clocking, reset sequencing, and high-speed constraints.
• Collaborate with silicon teams to translate datasheet specifications, electrical requirements, and errata into board-level implementations.
• Debug complex PI/SI issues and support EMI/EMC mitigation through systematic root-cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PI/SI analysis and high-speed board design for SoC-based systems.
• Strong expertise in PDN design, impedance control, and decoupling optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, or Siemens HyperLynx.
• Solid understanding of high-speed interface design and signal/power integrity fundamentals.
• Strong debugging capability using oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, and other lab equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience collaborating with semiconductor vendors or internal silicon design teams.
• Familiarity with DDR memory interface, PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet and USB systems.
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and EMC/EMI compliance methodologies.
