Chemify digitizes molecule design and production to let researchers design, synthesize, and iterate on compounds faster and more reproducibly. It does this with its Chemputation platform that combines automated robotics, a chemical programming language, and AI-driven design to execute programmable synthesis and closed-loop make-test cycles. The product is a deep-tech B2B platform integrating lab automation hardware with software for molecular design, synthesis execution, and data-driven optimization. Chemify primarily serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and industrial materials customers seeking to accelerate discovery and scale reproducible chemical synthesis.

Chemify is revolutionising chemistry. We are creating a future where the synthesis of previously unimaginable molecules, drugs, and materials is instantly accessible. By combining AI, robotics, and the worlds largest continually expanding database of chemical programs, we are accelerating chemical discovery to improve quality of life and extend the reach of humanity.
Location
This role will be based at the companys manufacturing site at OakBank Industrial Estate, Garscube Road, Glasgow, G20 7LU.
Reporting to the Dispensary/ Inventory and Materials Manager, the main tasks of this role (along with the wider dispensary team) are to be a key member of the team in efficiently executing critical manufacturing and development tasks to ensure high-quality, reproducible, high-throughput and safe chemical manufacturing. The Production Chemists main task is to create and maintain best-in-class laboratory spaces and work closely with the operations and chemistry teams to ensure their productivity and efficiency. While working within the laboratory the Production Chemist must be observant of safety standards and operating procedures. To participate in the development of new systems and processes; maintaining standards conducive with safe laboratory working, writing SOPs, documenting changes.
A Senior Production Chemist will be responsible for ensuring standards and discipline are kept during shift whilst also maintaining these standards themselves. There is the expectation that the senior production chemist takes on line management responsibilities of junior team members to mentor and guide them in their roles to help them become competent operators and helps to improve and implement process changes within the team.
The role of the dispensary team includes, but is not limited to, to maintain Chemifys chemical inventory by following procedure(s) and SOPs pertinent to inventory use, dispensing the appropriate amount of requested chemicals as per SOPs and passing on to the synthesis team to conduct the next step of a work order. This is a critical functionality within the operations framework that directly impacts our downstream processes.
