Responsibilities

• Implement and enhance back-end (and front-end if Full Stack) components to expand the donations and volunteering platform for partners, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
• Engage on a highly technical level to establish and build best practices regarding technologies used.
• Write code and participate in planning, product, and delivery.

Success Metrics (after 3 months)

• Familiarity with teammates and comfort in the new environment.
• Understanding of the donations and volunteering product with suggestions for its evolution.
• Deep understanding of app and platform architectures, becoming a subject matter expert and suggesting engineering improvements.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience designing and building APIs, particularly on top of databases (Postgres).
• Experience designing and building web apps using React (essential for Full Stack candidates).
• Experience designing and developing secure, scalable, resilient, and observable systems.
• Good knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript (and React for Full Stack applicants).
• Knowledge of automated testing methods and their effective application.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and regular production deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
