Description We’re seeking a self-motivated lead engineer with a strong sense of ownership and outstanding communication skills. In this strategic role you will help the group tackle the hardest problems, collaborating closely with product, various business teams, data science, and of course all of our developers - all with the goal of delivering a seamless, joyful experience for our customers.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

• Own the full life cycle of our production applications - from business requirements, system design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, to maintenance
• Write great code and help others write great code - mentor people!
• Utilize platform thinking to maintain engineering velocity
• Own service SLAs, SLOs, SLIs
• Help us hire extraordinary talent such as yourself!

Requirements

• 6+ years experience developing production, performance critical applications
• Great understanding of cloud native architecture and trade offs
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
• Experience with Python, Pulumi\Terraform, AWS - a plus
• Experience owning organizational engineering processes and best practices
• Startup experience - a plus
