Type: Part-time (approx. 10-15 hours/week. This has the potential to increase in the future.)

About the role: We’re looking for a hands-on operator to run a daily workflow that turns state oil & gas well-permit data into actionable satellite-image insights for our customers. You’ll help manage processes that ingest state data, fetch imagery for those locations, perform QC to categorize pad activity, correct bounding-box issues, publish updates to customers, and troubleshoot any issues that may come up along the way.

What you’ll do:

• Run and monitor the daily pipeline that ingests state O&G well-permit data
• Fetch satellite imagery for permitted locations
• Perform visual QC and categorize activity on well pads (e.g., drilling, fracking, inactive)
• Fix/adjust bounding boxes that are misaligned or overlapping
• Troubleshoot errors and escalate issues where necessary
• Communicate status and blockers across teams; hand-off cleanly across days

Minimum/desired qualifications:

• 1–3 years in data operations or similar production workflows
• Experience command-line interfaces (you'll run already created Python scripts, not do anything actually programming-related)
• Familiarity with satellite imagery concepts
• Experience doing QC with careful attention to detail
• Experience reading logs to diagnose and troubleshoot failures
• Strong written communication and organized handoffs; reliable daily availability
• Able to follow documentation; proactive about edge cases and ambiguity
