At Mainblades, we’re redefining how airplanes get inspected. Our autonomous drone system captures high-resolution images, detects defects using machine learning, and is already being used in production at major airlines across the globe.
We’ve proven the concept. Now we’re scaling. And that means taking things from “works well” to “works everywhere, every time.” That’s where you come in.
We're looking for a senior mobile engineer to take the lead on our Android app. The app interacts with drone hardware, so we'd like you to work from our office in The Hague at least several days per week to ensure efficient development and testing with our drone hardware.
What you’ll do
The Android app is a central of our product. It enables aircraft maintenance crews to configure and monitor inspections and manages data flows before, during, and after flight (often in offline environments).
That means you’ll work on:
The responsibilities you will have:
The app must be highly robust and performant. It’s entering beta, and your role is to ensure successful transition to production level. You’ll work closely with robotics- hardware and the full-stack engineer(s) who built the current version and have significant ownership over its future direction.
What we’re looking for
You're a senior mobile engineer with experience building highly reliable apps. You’ve worked on products that involve syncing, offline use, or hardware integration. You understand how mobile apps behave in real-world network conditions.
Bonus points if you have experience with
What we offer
You will be part of a dynamic, fun and driven team with a high degree of flexibility.
