About The Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll own customer accounts end-to-end—from first implementation through scale-up and renewal. You’ll embed directly with customers, scope technical requirements, and ship production-grade code that integrates Kastle into their workflows. You are both the engineer and the trusted partner: accountable for architecture, reliability, and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade integrations with customer platforms (servicing APIs, data warehouses, telephony systems).
• Write backend and full-stack code (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) to extend core product functionality.
• Own performance and reliability of single-tenant deployments.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and runbooks to ensure SLA compliance.
• Document systems and train customer teams for ongoing operations.
• Track adoption and outcomes; drive expansions and renewals.
• Feed customer learnings back into product to shape roadmap and platform features.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of engineering experience, writing production-grade code in Python, Java, or similar.
• Hands-on experience integrating APIs, building backend services, and deploying systems in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into scoped technical solutions.
• Excellent communicator comfortable working across technical and business teams.
• Willing to relocate to SF and work 6 days a week in-office.
• 30% travel

Nice to Have

• Experience in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
• Familiarity with enterprise security, networking, or infrastructure.
• Previous customer-facing engineering role (forward deployed, solutions engineer, etc.).
