In today’s world of constant global security challenges, innovation in defense is no luxury. After years of budget cuts, military personnel need to train and work with inadequate and insufficient equipment. We have an opportunity to change that.
At Intelic, we are a group of highly committed professionals building one of the fastest-growing start-ups based in Amsterdam. We create advanced software for unmanned systems in the defense sector. As a software company at our core, we build intelligence that gives unmanned platforms the speed, coordination and reliability that critical missions demand. Our technology ensures that decisions are made with accuracy when it matters most.
Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and oversee advanced UxV training programs that bridge cutting-edge technology and operational realities. Lead red teaming activities with military end users, maintain instructional excellence, and ensure training reflects evolving TTPs, Nexus updates, and safety/compliance requirements. Operate as a key link between product teams, end users, and forward operations, enabling operators —military and commercial— to perform effectively in live and simulated mission environments worldwide.
In practice, this means:
• Develop, execute, and continuously improve training programs for internal staff, B2G military users, and B2B partners, covering multiple UxV platforms with Nexus.
• Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, simulations, live/virtual exercises, and “train-the-trainer” programs.
• Plan and lead adversarial exercises to replicate evolving enemy TTPs, increasing stakeholder awareness and system resilience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary strategies and tactics related to drone warfare across all relevant conflicts (focusing on Ukraine).
• Translate battlefield insights into actionable training scenarios.
• Conduct on-site and remote certification of instructors/operators.
• Mentor, certify, and quality-control medior and junior trainers, ensuring adherence to operational and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely within Operations with Validation, Forward Operations, Customer Success and the Ukrainian Operations team. Align and coordinate directly with other departments such as Product and Engineering to ensure training incorporates new features, mission modes, and compliance requirements.
• Integrate field performance and user feedback into training updates.
• Ensure all programs comply with operational safety protocols, regulations, and client-specific requirements.
What You Will Bring
• 5+ years in technical/military/operational training.
• Proven experience operating or working in high-risk environment.
• Experience in UxV operations highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing training programs and leading tactical or red teaming exercises.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder coordination skills across B2G and B2B contexts.
• Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally, including to austere or high-risk environments.
• Strong grasp of safety compliance, certification standards, and evolving threat environments.
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
• You have designed, delivered, and refined end-to-end UxV training programs for internal teams, military end users, and commercial partners across multiple platforms using Nexus.
• You have planned and executed multiple red teaming and adversarial exercises that realistically reflect evolving enemy TTPs, incorporating lessons learned from contemporary conflicts (with a strong focus on Ukraine).
• Battlefield insights and operational feedback are consistently translated into relevant, high-impact training scenarios and materials.
• Training programs are successfully delivered in diverse international and high-risk environments, meeting client-specific and regulatory requirements.
• End-user feedback from field deployments is actively captured and used to continuously improve training effectiveness and operational readiness.
