Responsibilities

• Develop intelligent and scalable AI solutions for e-commerce.
• Contribute ideas and actively shape products while working directly with the VP of Engineering.
• Product Development: Create innovative AI features such as Vision Search, Similar Articles, AutoTagging, and Business Intelligence.
• API & Architecture: Build and develop scalable REST APIs and help shape system architecture.
• Data Integration: Work with MongoDB and Postgres to optimize data flows and processes.
• Code Quality: Ensure clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Teamwork: Collaborate closely with product management and design to develop user-centered solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Python development, ideally in AI, data processing, or backend.
• Experience with REST APIs, MongoDB, and/or Postgres.
• Proficient in Git, Docker, and modern development tooling infrastructure.
• Very good German language skills (at least level C1) for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site at the Bielefeld office 2-3 days per week (remote work from abroad is not possible).

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI models or machine learning workflows.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures.
• Experience working with data pipelines or deployment tools.
